TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS

 
CONDITIONS OF PLAY
  1. The Championship is to be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A and the Local Rules as approved by the Championship Committee.
  2. The balls used during the Tournament must conform with the list of Conforming Golf Balls 1998 - Effective October 12th 1998 as approved by the R&A
  3. Riding in motorised carts on the course is prohibited.
  4. The Championship Committee reserves the right to cancel the event, or to decide on a reduced number of holes or to change the dates, and alter the Local Rules if necessary.

 
ELIGIBILITY
All amateur players in possession of their National Federation membership card and a current certified handicap of 24,0 or under. Entrants must present their handicap certificate upon entering the tournament.
A maximum of 120 entries will be accepted, entries will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. All players nominated by their Federations to play will be accepted.
 
PROGRAM / FORMAT
7th of June Practice round
8th of June 18 holes Strokeplay
9th of June 18 holes Strokeplay (36 hole cut - top 60 & ties)
10th of June 18 holes Strokeplay
  1. In the event of a tie for 1st, 2nd or 3rd, the competitors will play in a sudden death play-off on holes 17 and 18 until a competitor wins a hole.
  2. The Championship Committee reserves the right to fix and alter starting times.

 
ENTRY FORMS / REGISTRATION
  1. Entries shall be made only on the official Entry Form (a copy of the official entry form will be accepted).
  2. Entrants must confirm in all respects with the Rules of Amateur Status and shall sign the declaration to that effect contained in the Entry Form.
  3. The Entry Form fully completed must be received by the Amber Baltic Golf Club not later than 01st of June 2000, by mail or fax.
  4. The entry fee is PLN 350 (three hundred and fifty Polish Zlotys, approx. 175,-DM), and can be paid on arrival or by mailed eurocheque payable to: Golf Amber Baltic Sp. z o.o.
  5. All players may enter through their National Golf Union or directly with the Amber Baltic Golf Club. Entries failing these conditions will not be accepted.

PRIZES
The Trophy will remain the property of the Polish Golf Union (PGU) and will be deposited at the P.G.U. Headquarters. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded for gross and net categories. Each year, the name of the winner and the date of the Championship will be engraved on the Trophy. The winner will receive a replica of the Trophy, provided by the P.G.U.
 
CHAMPIONSHIP COMMITTEE
The P.G.U. will nominate the members of the Championship Committee and the Referees. The Championship Committee will take all decisions concerning the organisation of the Championship and will interpret these rules and conditions and may assume any rights granted by the Rules of Golf.

    The Amber Baltic Golf Club is situated in the small village of Kołczewo, on the isle of Wolin. It is only 10 minutes from the famous spa and sea-side resort of Międzyzdroje. The isle of Wolin can be reached by car, train, plane or ferry:

    b) train: Szczecin - Międzyzdroje 1hr 50 mins
    c) plane: Warsaw - Goleniów 55 mins

  3. THE GOLF COURSE
    The Amber Baltic Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole golf course with an overall length of 5802 metres, Par 72. The golf course is surrounded by the beautiful Woliński National Park and offers a varied landscape with rolling hills, forests and ponds. The front nine is like playing a parkland golf course and the back nine is more of a links-type golf course.

  4. TRANSPORTATION: Hotel Amber Baltic - Golf Course - Hotel Amber Baltic
    The Hotel Amber Baltic will be running a shuttle bus between the Hotel and Golf Course throughout the tournament. There will be a small charge for the service.
     
  5. CATERING
    Club Restaurant and Bar are in the same place. The lunch will be served from the daily menu. A snacks service will be available at the Bar.

  6. PRACTISE BALLS, TROLLEYS AND CADDIES
    1. Practise balls: cost per bucket of 40 balls = 10 PLN (approx 5,-DM)
    2. Trolleys: cost per day = 18 PLN (approx. 9,-DM)
    3. Caddies: available on request

     
  7. CHECK-IN AT THE GOLF COURSE
    The Information Desk will be situated in the Club House. This will be made throughout the day and can be used by everyone. At this desk the players should:
    • check - in and pay the entry fee, if not yet paid 350 PLN (approx. 175,-DM)
    • hand over official handicap certificate
    • book starting times for practise
    • request general information

     
  8. PRACTISE
    The Course will be available for practise on Wednesday 7th, from 0800.
     
  9. PRACTISE GROUND
    The practise ground will be opened daily at 0800 and will close at 1900.
     
  10. WELCOME RECEPTION AND DRAW
    Officials and players are invited to a cocktail reception in the Club House, on 7th June, at 1800.
     
    IMPORTANT
    We inform all players that they are not allowed to wear jeans, T-shirts or shorts, both in the Club House or on the course during the Tournament including the practise days.
